Not All Probiotics Products Are The Same.

Many cheap probiotics are unstable and lose their beneficial properties in the stomach before the probiotics can reach the intestine. The intestine is where the probiotics need to implant in order to seed the intestinal tract with healthy flora.

Total-Biotics® is THE ONLY pet probiotic formula in the world that uses the only patented stabilized glutamine in the world- MGG chelate- from Albion Labs. This stabilized Glutamine re-writes the book on utilizing anabolic nitrogen molecules to help cleanse and fortify the body. Glutamine yields beneficial effects on the intestinal mucosa and is also the major metabolic fuel for the small intestine. The addition of the chelated glutamine to Total-Biotics ®, greatly improves the stability and colonization characteristics of beneficial bacteria in the pet's intestinal tract and is an essential nutrient that is required by the intestinal cells. It can actually help repair a damaged intestinal tract. We are the only formulators that use this patented stabilized glutamine in our pet products.

Also included in this great formula is Pre-biotics- Inulin IQ FOS (Fructooligosaccharides) - One of the best-known prebiotics, FOS is a class of simple carbohydrates found naturally in certain plants, such as Jerusalem artichokes, onions and bananas. FOS is known to promote the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract. It has been shown to stimulate growth of Bifidobacterium in the colon facilitating good colonization .

How much do I give my pet of Total-Biotics® and Total-Zymes® powders?

There is a little scoop in each jar. Each scoop is for every cup of food. So, for 1 cup of food just one little scoop, 2 cups of food two scoops. It is very easy to dose.

Why do some probiotics need to be refrigerated and others not?

Probiotics are live cultures and are generally unstable at temperatures over 75 degrees. HOWEVER, the temperature inside the body is well over 75 degrees, not to mention that the probiotics would have to pass through hostile stomach acid and bile to get to the intestine. So what is the answer? The answer is to buy a probiotic supplement that contains stabilized strains of bacteria. The fact is, a probiotic that requires refrigeration is a red flag that it is not stable and will die on impact with the body. Make sure you read the label of any probiotics to be sure that the probiotics are stabilized. Look at the label and make sure they actually have at least 10 or more different species live bacteria. Total-Biotics® is stable and has 11 different species.

Should I use a probiotic supplement when giving antibiotics to pet?

Yes! Antibiotics kill off both friendly bacteria along with pathogenic bacteria. The colonies of beneficial bacteria must be maintained or populations of undesirable bacteria will flourish once the antibiotics are discontinued. This can result in the symptoms ranging from itchy skin conditions to frequent infections to digestive problems as well as a population explosion of normally benign candida yeast that live throughout the body. When using antibiotics it is always good to, supplement with probiotics at least two hours after the treatment and when the antibiotic treatment is complete double or triple the probiotic dosage for 7-10 days.

Is it necessary to refrigerate Total-Biotics®?

Total-Biotics® requires no refrigeration to maintain label claim potency since we have doubled the number of colony forming units (CFUs) in the formula. The product will stay fresh and viable if kept cool. Refrigeration or even freezing is not necessary but it will prolong potency.

Is Total-Biotics® just for sick pets?

No, Pets that are convalescing definitely will benefit greatly from this product, and it is essential that all pets have a daily supplement of pro-biotics to build their susceptible immune systems.

If I'm feeding my pet a raw food diet do I need enzymes and probiotics?

If you feed a raw food diet your pet will benefit from both Total-Biotics® and Total-Zymes®. We recommend you cut the enzyme dose in half and double the probiotics.

Why double the Total-Biotics® when feeding raw food?

Raw food sometimes has salmonella, E. Coli and other harmful bacteria in it, adding extra probiotics to the food, will help keep the bad bacteria level down and bring up the pets immune system.

Dog and cat tear stains:

What really is the scoop?

There are several products on the market that promote helping with tear stains.

Buyer beware! Although they do work, some of them have antibiotics in them.

Do you really want to give your pets antibiotics every day just to clear up stains?

In an age of overuse of antibiotics is prevalent, we need to look at what we are giving to our pets too.

So you ask what I can do?

First what causes the tear stains.

dog oral care Allergies
dog oral care Ear infections
dog oral care Your Pets Water
dog oral care Red Yeast Bacteria
pet oral care Food Change or Poor Diet
pet oral care Dysfunction Of the Tear Duct System

If you've ever seen a dog or cat with red or brown marks in the areas around and just under the eyes, you've seen a pet that is suffering from tear staining. Some can assume that the stains are caused by excessive moisture from the eyes but is that relay the cause? There can be many factors to this condition. You might want to understand and figure out the root of the problem.

Epiphora caused by too many tears is an automatic response to irritants such as dust, infection, allergens, poor diet or a health problem. The excess tearing could be a health problem you do not realize your pet may have. It has been described as like when you have a runny nose. It is one way bodies rid themselves of toxins.

Sudden onset tearing staining in adult dogs:

One reason may be that you have recently changed your pets' diet. You should make the change to the new food more gradually.

Maybe you have moved to a new home (or pet day care) or you have new carpeting, furniture, a new pet or family member or other changes around your house or yard, suspect environment.

Puppy Tear Staining:

Puppies tear as they grow. They also tear when teething. This condition is normal and will often go away on its own. Please do NOT give antibiotics to puppies to stop tear staining. You may set them up for a lifetime of digestive disorders, discolored teeth, yeast infections and other health problems.

Dysfunction of the tear duct system:

Sometimes the tearing is because of Dysfunction of the tear duct. We recommend to always consult your Veterinarian first before trying any solution. Before investing hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars in a lifetime of tear stain products. This is especially important for Brachycephalic (flat faced) breeds like Shih Tzu and Lhasa Apso.

Ear infections:

Eye staining can be linked back to ear infections, so it's important to keep your dog or cat's ears as clean and dry as possible. If you notice that your pet is getting a lot of ear infections which also can coincide with excessive eye tearing, the two are probably related. We recommend using a mixed solution of water and Oxy-pH Boost™ for pets Sodium Chlorite Solution to help clean the ears. Then Total-Biotics® to help build up the immune system.

Allergies:

Dogs and cats can experience reactions to thing just like humans, and eye tear staining can often be a reaction to allergens or irritants. In fact, some pets will suffer reactions to their food which will change the pH level in your dog's system which in turn can cause excessive tearing. If you notice that your pets tear stains get worse in certain situations than it might be an environmental factor that is adding to the problem. We suggest you use Total-Zymes ® and Oxy-pH Boost™ for pets Sodium Chlorite Solution.

Red Yeast Bacteria:

One of the biggest causes of eye tear staining might be a high level of moisture that can keep the hair around the face wet, which then becomes an area where bacteria can breed. One of the most common forms of this bacteria, is called Red Yeast, which causes a yeast infection around the eyes and leads to the brownish-red stains that you sometimes see on dogs. We recommend and Oxy-pH Boost™ Sodium Chlorite Solution to help clean the face (do not get in eyes). Then Total-Biotics® to help build up the immune system and crowd out the bacteria.

Water:

Some waters contain a high mineral content, which can cause staining on the face and beard. A lot of moisture can remain on the face trapped in the hairs after your pet drinks, which can be moved to eye level by your dog or cat trying to lick his face clean. And, if the mineral content is high, it will increase the level of red-brown staining on face. If you notice both tear stains and a discolored fur, try switching the water to combat the problem. Add Oxy-pH Boost™ Sodium Chlorite Solution to your pet's water this will help keep it clean and boost their immune system.

Total-Biotics® helps to boost your dog's immune system and fight tear stains.

Oxy-pH Boost™ for pets. Sodium Chlorite Solution Helps with Bacterial Overgrowth, Kills Yeast while supporting healthy probiotics.

Total-Zymes ® is a high performance broad-spectrum digestive enzyme formula. Total-Zymes® for Pets is the most complete pet digestive enzyme product in the world. Also helps with, Allergies, Skin problems, Immune disorders, Joint difficulties and more…

Some have noticed that their Dog or Cat 's tear stains will diminished after a few weeks of taking Total-Biotics®.

Not only do the Total-Zymes ® (digestive enzymes for pets) and Total-Biotics® (probiotics for pets) help with digestion but also;
